Heading back from the zoo
What’s that smell? What’s that smell?
Do you smell it too?
Said my dad to me, ‘Do you smell it too?’
Got into the car
What’s that smell? What’s that smell?
This car smells like a loo
Said my dad to me, ‘Do you smell it too?’
Mom opened the windows
We checked all over too
No one saw anything
But the car did smell like a loo
Parked the car in the garage
What’s that smell? What’s that smell?
This garage smells like a zoo
Said my dad to me, ‘Do you smell it too?’
Mom and I checked all over
The garage had been cleaned by a crew
Not even a dead rat was found
But the garage smelled like a zoo
My dad went into the garden
The smell seemed to follow him too
What’s that smell? What’s that smell?
The smell was attached to dad like glue
Mom came over and
Carried out a survey true
And finally, she said to dad
‘Why don’t you check your shoe?’
Whereupon dad was surprised
He proceeded to remove his shoe
And when he flipped it over
All of us shouted, ‘Ewwwwww’.
For there in the middle of his shoe
Lay a mass of yellow goo
Picked up somewhere in the zoo
A patch of animal poo
