The Oximeter Can Tell

The oximeter knows more than we give it credit for

He checked his pulse as usual in the morning. His oxygen level was fine.

On a whim, he inserted his favorite pen into the meter. The one with which he hadn’t been able to write a word all summer.

The pen was dangerously low on oxygen.

Hmm! That explained everything.
